A lunch time with Picasso
A series of dance performances by Tomeo Vergés, created in partnership with Atelier de Paris-Carolyn Carlson.
As part of the launch of its reopening programme, The Musée national Picasso-Paris and Atelier de Paris-Carolyn Carlson have invited Catalan choreographer Tomeo Vergés to create a four-part reflection on Picasso’s paintings. Just as Picasso worked to deconstruct space, so Tomeo Vergés and his team invite you to experience the effects of time disintegrating: a woman imprisoned by the beat of a metronome, another exploring the processes of speeding up and slowing down, through deconstructed and reconstructed movements… The dancers will be performing in the heart of the unique collection housed in Hôtel Salé, shifting the audience’s attention between the works and the dance.
Dancers: Antje Schur (November), Pauline Simon (January), Marie Horts (March), Sandrine Maisonneuve (May).
