Prices, booking and conditions for free entry
What are the payment methods accepted at the museum?
The Musée national Picasso-Paris accepts payment by bank check, credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB, International Diner Club), Apple Pay, Google wallet, Culture Check and Holiday vouchers at the museum ticket desk.
Is it possible to offer a museum visit to a friend?
You can offer an entry or a visit to the person of your choice by selecting the corresponding rate on the Gift page of our museum reservation platform.
Is it possible to be reimbursed for my tickets if I am no longer able to visit the museum?
Our general terms and conditions do not allow us to refund nor exchange the tickets
Do visitors eligible for free entrance benefit from a reduce price for guided tours?
Yes, jobseekers, young people under 26 (EU residents), recipients of social aid and people with disabilities benefit from the reduced rate on guided tours. They can book guided tours on our online ticket shop or at the museum ticket office.
Can I reserve an audioguide?
Yes, you can reserve an audio guide online on our online ticket shop.
Can I exit the museum and then re-enter later that day with the same ticket?
No, tickets are valid for one entry to the museum only. Re-entry is not possible.
I can’t edit my ticket. How can I do it?
You can find your tickets on our online booking platform. You can log in to your account using your username (email address) and your password.
I am eligible for free entrance. Do I need to get an entrance ticket at the counter?
You don’t need to get a ticket. Visitors eligible for free entry should go directly to the entrance and present valid identification.
Is it necessary to reserve a ticket when you are eligible for a free entrance?
Visitors who are eligible for a free entrance do not need to reserve a ticket. They can enter the museum at any point by presenting a valid identification. You can find conditions for free entry on the website.
Is it necessary to reserve a ticket in advance?
No, visitors can purchase their ticket both online or at the museum ticket desk (with or without an audio guide).

Is there any special price for disabled people?
Access to the museum is free for disabled people and care giver.

There is no special price for visitors over 60. Please find conditions for free entry on this website.
Is there a special price for young visitors?
Entry to the museum is free for visitors under 18 and for all EU resident under 26 presenting an identification.

Yes, jobseekers, young people under 26 (EU residents), recipients of social aid and people with disabilities benefit from the reduced rate on audio guide. They can book their audio guide on our online ticket shop or at the museum ticket office.
Visiting and comfort
Is there a bookshop or giftshop at the museum?
A shop is located in the main hall of the museum. Books, postcards, and design objects can be purchased at the shop.
Is it possible to take photos inside the museum?
With the exception of works with signage indicating that photos are not allowed, photographs without flash and without the use of professional equipment such as tripods are allowed in the museum. Does the museum offer activities specifically for children?
The museum offers tours and workshops for young audiences and families.
An activity booklet to accompany the children during their visit is available on request at the museum reception.
An audioguide for children is available, in French and in English, at the museum counter.
In addition, we offer young audience captions in some of our exhibitions.

Is drawing allowed in the galleries?
Sketching and drawing is allowed in the galleries, however, certain techniques are prohibited (ink, pastel, charcoal, watercolor ...).
Is the Museum's garden open to the public?
The museum's garden is accessible to museum visitors through the lower-level galleries from April to October.
Is the museum closed on Holidays?
The museum is closed every Monday and on certain holidays (December 25, January 1 and May 1). On the 24th and 31st of December the museum closes at 5:00 pm instead of 6:00 pm.
How much time do I need to visit the Museum?
The duration of the museum visit depends on the rhythm of each visitor. On average, we recommend spending between 90 minutes to 2 hours to discover all of the collections and exhibitions.
Does the museum have an on-site café or space to purchase food?
The museum has a rooftop café opened from 10:30 am to 6 pm. The access is located on the main hall. The Café sur le toit invites you to take a break in a pleasant setting before or after your visit. Its stunning rooftop of the museum is the perfect place to admire the breathtaking façade of the Hôtel Salé.
Does the museum offer cloakroom services?
The museum's cloakroom is free and is located on level -1 by the stairs on the right side of the lobby. Backpacks, bottles and umbrellas must be left in the cloakroom before your visit.
What are the opening hours of the museum?
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am to 6pm.
Last admission is at 5.15pm.
The rooms close at 5.40pm.
Late opening until 10pm every first Wednesday of the month.

How do I book a group visit?

Access and accessibility
Is it possible to visit the museum with my pet?
Except for support animals (guide dogs, etc.), pets are not allowed in the museum galleries.
Is luggage allowed in the museum?
For security reasons, suitcases and bulky baggage are not allowed inside the museum and can not be stored in the museum's cloakroom.
Is it possible to bring strollers into the museum?
Small-frame strollers are allowed in the museum. The entire museum is accessible via ramps and elevators, making possible an easy access throughout the spaces. Small-frame strollers are available, upon request at the information desk.
